Partnerships

Trans Power has established long-term relationships with a number of electrical utility companies such as Enersource, PowerStream and Whitby Hydro.

These partnerships allow Trans Power to streamline the processes involved with providing utilities, maximizing efficiencies in both time and cost.

Enersource

Trans Power’s subsidiary, EnerPower is a joint venture between Trans Power and Enersource, which was established in 2001. EnerPower provides Greenfield electrical distribution through the “offer to connect” (OTC) process, and rehabilitation of existing underground electrical infrastructure. These services include:

  • Vacuum excavation services.
  • Additional support service for overhead and underground journeymen-linesmen.
  • Assistance with labour and equipment for Enersource’s street light maintenance contracts.


Powerstream

Trans Power has been PowerStream’s general contractor for all civil works since 2005.

General civil projects such as duck banks, manholes, cable installation, etc. for both residential and commercial applications.

  • Emergency on-call maintenance services.
  • Primary & secondary cable fault repairs.
  • New residential and commercial service installations.
  • Residential meter installation and connections.
  • Greenfield electrical distribution through the “offer to connect” (OTC) process.





Whitby Hydro

Trans Power has been PowerStream’s general contractor for all civil works since 2005.

Trans Power has had a working partnership with Whitby Hydro since 1995, providing:

  • Greenfield electrical distribution through the “offer to connect” (OTC) process.
  • General contract projects, which include: rebuild projects, new service installations, new residential and commercial projects.
  • Street light maintenance for the Town of Whitby on behalf of Whitby Hydro.
