Trans Power Becomes Part of the Team Helping Toronto Hydro Upgrade their Aging Infrastructure

Trans Power, together with a select group of other contractors has signed a contract with Toronto Hydro to assist them in upgrading their aging infrastructure.

Toronto Hydro-Electric System owns and operates an electricity distribution system, which delivers electricity to approximately 700,000 customers located in the City of Toronto. It is the largest municipal electricity distribution company in Canada and distributes approximately 19% of the electricity consumed in Ontario. Toronto Hydro will look to Trans Power to fulfill a large portion of their construction & electrical installation requirements in the following areas:

  • FESI Feeder Rebuilds
  • Rebuilding and upgrading of existing electrical residential systems including Overhead and Underground Systems as well as the replacement of poles, cables and transformers.
  • General civil projects to include duck banks, manholes and cable installations for both residential and commercial applications.
  • Emergency on-call maintenance services.
  • Primary & secondary cable fault repairs.
  • New residential and commercial service installations.
  • “Smart Meter” meter installation and connections.
  • Greenfield electrical distribution through the “offer to connect” (OTC) process
